Well what's the day today,

Bonfire/Guy Fawkes night, Faye's Birthday, Happy BIRTHDAY!!

also a rather sombre day as one of my friends died today a few years ago.

What have I done today, been food shopping, cooked, together with dad, some stuffed butternut squash following a recipe from the Moosewood Cookbook by Mollie Katzen
http://www.molliekatzen.com/
The butternut squash we grew this year, & 2 of them with vegetarian rice stuffing was really quite nice

I've also had some white wine, rather good :)

On the bonfire night front a LOT of people let the fireworks off on Saturday, including the display at Ally Pally, which I watched & photographed from the bedroom window.

Although I'm sure we'll see more tonight! & of course in the new year. Generally people seem to be obsessed with fireworks!

Remember Remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, Treason & Plot

This month was also VERY different for a lot of people last year as I was seriously ill from meningitis, & it's a time for me to reflect & thank all those in my thoughts for who supported me in their prayers & thoughts.

Faye, your entry for this day last year is a tribute to what a great person you really are. It really is one of the most moving things I've ever read.
& to Ingrid & everyone who came to visit me & sent cards, even tho at the time I was out of my mind with the virus, drugs & sedatives!

My brother is up from Guildford for the weekend, which makes a change.
Looking forward to the party in Leeds next weekend.:)
Oh yes!
