Got up again around 9 - 10ish.. Felt pretty groggy.. Dad had stayed up, gone swimming, had brekky & gone to the hygeinist.. Felt that rough I waited till he was back to get in the shower.. I've not collapsed yet but I feel its better not to risk it when I feel rough like that.

2 CD from Joolz Gianni http://www.joolzgianni.com/ arrived this morning.. Haven't listened to them both yet but the first track of Psychobirds is a bit clubby perhaps.

"Chilled to the Sax" Seems much more mellow from what I've listened to so far.. Either way you can spot his influence from Kenny G.

Haven't done too much today.. Emails.. Gonna get that paperwork off to my GP later.. when its cooler... Its 28 degrees again here.

STILL waiting for the kite I bought 2 weeks ago. I am gonna PM the guy again if it doesn't arrive soon and start posting publicly on the forum.. Tis not funny any more!

Also waiting for a package from the US, and a couple of things (fun things :-) ) from play.com.. and I MUST cease the spending now! LOL

Talking of which.. I need to check my accounts today..

ingridiana Writes of her seeking a solstice experience, only with part success, as quite a lot of local humanity also seemed to be.

For my own part though I'd wanted to do several things, be outside for it, be with someone special, join the solstice 'fly in' with a lot of other kiters, none of the above happened. However I did more or less catch the dawn as mum was leaving for the station early so I was awake for a while between about 3:45 am and around 6am..

Its amazing how little people seem to be, 'in tune' with their natural rhythms, most women accepted (tho even there people seem to have enough problems).

The plants are for sure, almost to the day a lot of stuff in our front garden broke bud at the solstice,.. Programmed to the 'short day' program of reproduction.

I personally don't find the idea that we are affected by the masses and pulls of sun, stars and planets in our 'immediate' cosmic habitat all that strange. What IS strange is the way people treat it with a mysticism rather than a somewhat matter of fact part of life as it carries on. It takes all sorts I guess .

A lot of current day tradition comes from celebrating the solstice, the 'Honeymoon' after the ''trothing' and marriage ceremonies of June. June weddings are still tradition to this day. The idea behind the celebration is that of first harvest, of new growth, both in physical, feeling spiritual for the year. It is the climax of the springs efforts.

Thanks for the mention :) Before you read the following, be aware that I'm half asleep, so it's me, not you, if it doesn't make sense

I think that people treat it as "mystic" because so many scientists etc. rubbish the ideas, call it unscientific etc. and put people off calling it part of life; kind of a defense mechanism to make it easier to understand, like "oh, that's art of your belief? right, Now, I get why you think that" response, rather than "You believe that? where's the proof?" response, if you see what I mean

Having said all that I find that spiritually, a lot of the "matter of fact part of life" are pretty miraculous - just watching my skin healing after the operation, I think the way the human body works is amazing.
